The Women’s Ministry of Crossroads Church exists to reach women with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, disciple and nurture spiritual growth through prayer and interactive Bible study and encourage effective utilization of personal giftedness and talents for service in the Body of Christ and God’s glory.
Statement of Purpose:
1. To Reach women through the transforming power of the Gospel and love of
Jesus Christ.
2. To Disciple women to follow Jesus Christ and live according to the precepts
of the Bible, God’s holy word.
3. To Train and equip women to utilize their giftedness as they serve and leave
an eternal legacy for God’s glory.
“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." --Romans 1:16-17
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." --Matthew 28:18-20
“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” --1 Peter 4:10-11
Chairwoman - Laurel Cowen:
Laurel and Crossroads Senior Pastor, Chris Cowen, have been married for eighteen years. As a native of Wisconsin and long time resident of northern Idaho, Laurel was raised in a non-Christian home. After experiencing a personal, radical salvation with Jesus Christ in 1978, Laurel began her journey in Christ rearing two children, Brett and Necole, as a single parent. She understands the trials women face. Laurel has served the Lord for 30 years and in full-time ministry for 22 years. Desiring to break the barrier of the status quo, Laurel stands united in Christ with the women of Crossroads and Logan County longing for revival in the hearts of women everywhere.
Co-Chairwoman - Sheila Richardson:
Sheila and her husband, Charlie, are lifetime residents of Logan County. They have two sons, John Thomas and Colton. Sheila values her role as a wife and mother. She works for Logan Aluminum and spends her spare time with family and friends. They were instrumental in the establishment of Crossroads Church. God has used Sheila’s gift of loving and teaching the Word in many areas of ministry. She understands the joy and the struggles of being a woman and believes that women need a space to grow in Christ within a safe environment. Sheila feels that Crossroads Church offers that opportunity. Women are faced with so many overwhelming obstacles in today's society. As women understand how to deal with issues without being shocked or feel ill-equipped, then women will shift to actually helping each other through the issue based on God's Word.

"God has blessed me more than I deserve; I owe Him my life, and I am thankful He owns it."
Programs Coordinator - Brenda Lamb:
I love God, family and Crossroads Church. I have worshipped at Crossroads for three years. My husband, Terry, attends with me. I enjoy poetry, flowers, and creative arts-drama. I volunteer my time with the Creative Arts Ministry as well as being a full time registered nurse. Having known the Lord since I was a teenager, I have watched in amazement as He has worked in my life and the lives of my family. My spiritual growth seems appear to be during my most difficult times; however, "His grace is sufficient." God always places Christian brothers and sisters in my life to support and encourage when I need it most. I believe there are many who need the same and I desire to be used of God to help others "see the roses."

Also, Hope and Mike have two granddaughters: Addison and Bayleigh Connelly. Hope works as City of Russellville’s Code Enforcement Director. Mike and Hope serve as part of the Praise and Worship team, Baptismal Committee, and Sunday School teachers. Hope was reared in a godly home and her repentance experience occurred when she was eight years old. Hope sang and played the piano in church throughout her childhood. In 1993, Hope received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and began a deeper walk in the Lord.
